Dr. Rand became interested in Podiatry when his grandfather lost his leg and life to diabetes. He has since dedicated his career to diabetic limb salvage. In addition he enjoys all other aspects of the field including sports medicine, trauma, and pediatrics.

Education plays an important role in Dr. Rand’s practice as he trains current residents in surgical techniques as well as Podiatry students from Midwestern University in Glendale. He frequently attends the most cutting edge continuing education courses to keep himself at the forefront of the profession.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Rand is an avid outdoorsman and runs Shadow Mountain almost daily with his beloved vizsla, Pattie. He also has a passion for live music and his patients have grown to love his office playlist.
